Class was cancelled tonight because Sensei got swamped at work. I would have gone out and trained on my own but I was not feeling well and it just began snowing here the other evening, so I did not want to deal with going out into the cold. But he did say that I should come down to his shop at some point and get fitted for some bogu! So that is exciting! I might get in some suburi this afternoon to make up for the missed practice time. I should be doing suburi every day anyway, but it can be difficult for me to develop new habits like that. Guess I need to keep working at it!
Em is a nationally registered emergency medical technician, as well as an emergency rescue volunteer and an aspiring student in the mortuary sciences field. She is also a distance seminarian in the Apostolic Johannite Church pursuing formation to the priesthood. Em has studied contemporary Chanquan Wushu at the National Wushu Training Center in Southern California, and has recently begun her training in Kendo with the Yamakage Dojo in Northern Colorado. She also appreciates online computer games, roleplaying games, spending time with her dog, and good books when she can find them.
