From the BBC website: A powerful tsunami swept across a large area of northern Japan on Friday, causing major damage, flooding towns and sweeping away buildings. It was triggered by a 8.9-magnitude earthquake Police say up to 300 bodies have been found in Sendai, the city that was worst-hit. Many more people are missing Tsunami warnings were issued for virtually the entire Pacific region. Thank goodness for the impressive Japanese infrastructure, which prevented these events from being much worse than they have been. Em is a nationally registered emergency medical technician, as well as an emergency rescue volunteer and an aspiring student in the mortuary sciences field. She is also a distance seminarian in the Apostolic Johannite Church pursuing formation to the priesthood. Em has studied contemporary Chanquan Wushu at the National Wushu Training Center in Southern California, and has recently begun her training in Kendo with the Yamakage Dojo in Northern Colorado. She also appreciates online computer games, roleplaying games, spending time with her dog, and good books when she can find them.
